A Day To Remember

After I've published last post "Pierce The Veil", I was watching them get supports by Jeremy McKinnon as featured singer at Caraphernelia song video. Yeah, McKinnon adalah scream vokal A Day To Remember. Dengan genre metal core, post-hardcore, dan juga pop-punk atau banyak juga yang sering menyebutnya EMO, pastinya ada vokalis kedua / backing vokal yang saat ini masih dipegang oleh Neil Westfall yang berposisi sebagai rytm guitar juga.

Pertama kali A Day To Remember dibentuk pada tahun 2003 oleh vokalis pertamanya Tom Denney dan drummer Bobby Scruggs. Denney mengundurkan diri dengan alasan ia ingin lebih fokus untuk membina keluarga setelah pernihakannya, sementara saat ini ia menjalani solo karir. How about Scruggs? I don't know, mati kali ya... haha

Musical style

A Day to Remember dikenal sebagai band metalcore yang juga pop punk ( in the choruses of most songs). Fans dan banyak pengamat mendiskripsikan paduan genre ini sebagai "pop-mosh," atau "popcore".

“ It's weird. See it's funny because we have been doing this for so long. When we started, this shit was not cool. EVERYONE told us mixing the two genres wouldn't work. Hell, a lot of people still feel that way. We’ve just always played what we wanted to hear, and to be honest people weren't doing it back then. We loved pop punk, we loved hardcore bands, and we couldn’t decide what to be. So we said fuck it. Let’s do them both. ”
