Mayday Parade

 

Mayday! Mayday! darurat gan! pesawat tak terkontrol lagi… wahahaha. Apaan tuh!!!??? Emang sih “Mayday” adalah kata-kata yang menggambarkan dalam keadaan genting, tapi yang akan saya tulis disini bukan untuk itu tapi untuk sebuah band “MAYDAY PARADE”. Udah ada yang pernah dengerin lagu-lagu mereka lum?

 

Sepintas band ini mempunyai kemiripan vokal dan musikalitas dengan The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Misalnya aja lagu “Anywhere But Here” punyanya MP mirip dengan “Face Down” punyanya The RJA. Adalagi judulnya “I Swear This Time I Mean It” mirip dengan “Your Guardian Angel”.

 

Kalo ada pertanyaan : apa mungkin Mayday Parade adalah band plagiat?

Mayday Parade is an alternative  band from Tallahassee, Florida. They formed when members of Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment converged in 2006. Their debut EP Tales Told by Dead Friends was released in 2006, and sold over 20,000 copies without support.  On July 10, 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album A Lesson in Romantics. After signing to Fearless Records in 2006, the band changed labels to Atlantic Records in 2009. Their second studio album, Anywhere but Here  was released on October 6, 2009

Every Avenue ( Alternative, Power-Pop Band )

Every Avenue, mungkin namanya tak setenar All Time Low, We The Kings, atau Boys Like Girls. Akan tetapi band dengan vokalis yang bernama David Ryan Strauchman ( Vocals, Piano ) mempunyai ciri khas tersendiri dalam musik yang bergenre Alternative-Rock, Power-Pop, atau Pop-Punk.  Suara si David yang bisa dibilang “halus”, diiringi dengan musik melodi yang “powerful” jadilah seperti ini :

Every Avenue atau yang sering disingkat EA adalah band asal Marysville, Michigan, USA  dengan 5 personel :

Lagu ini ada sejarahnya lho. Yakni terinspirasi oleh seorang gadis. wew.

begini the true history and story of Hey There Delilah song :

“DELILAH” bukan kata benda atau kata kerja atau kata-kata yang ada artinya, tapi “DELILAH” adalah nama seorang perempuan yang bekerja sebagai reporter. Tujuh tahun yang lalu (2003)kalau ga salah di New York dia bertemu dengan seseorang yang bernama TOM HIGGENSON yang kebetulan dia adalah Vokalis band ini. Pertama kali bertemu si Tom langsung “Terpesona” melihat wanita yang satu ini.

Kemudian suatu janji dilontarkan Tom kepada Delilah bahwa : “suatu saat nanti aku akan menuliskan lagu dan kunyanyikan untukmu”.

Nah tahun 2005, lagu ini tercipta dari inspirasi seorang gadis tadi. Lagu ini tak terpikirkan oleh TOM dkk untuk di jadikan sigle dalam albumnya yang release tahun 2005, karena lagu ini hanya untuk gadis tadi. Akan tetapi yang menjadi kejutan lagu ini malah menjadi “untuk dunia” beberapa tahun kemudian. Buktinya saja tahun 2007  berada di urutan teratas Top Pop 100 US Billboard. wew…
