Setelah kemarin ada sedikit kemelut dan komentar yang kurang mengenakkan di berita ala kadarnya yang tepatnya disini, akhirnya nih postingan kelanjutannya buat para "The Fallen" semua.

Ya, emang benar. Avenged Sevenfold atau yang sering disingkat A7X ini melepas album barunya bertitle : "NIGHTMARE" tanggal 27 Juli 2010, namun single pertama di album ini sudah beredar secara luas dengan judul lagu "NIGHTMARE". Dan konfirmasi lagu lainnya adalah "FICTION". Fiction sendiri merupakan lagu yang didedikasikan buat The REV yang sudah meninggal dunia beberapa waktu yang lalu.

Kata orang-orang yang bijak sih banyak yang bilang gini : "kalau kita menghargai karya orang, hendaknya kita harus memberikan partisipasi kepada yang membuat". Nha kalo bisa dan kalo ada duit, lebih baik beli aja ya yang original. Saya sendiri pribadi juga pengen beli, tapi masalahnya di tempat tinggal saya ga ada yang jual cd asli. Pengganti The Rev, Mike Portnoy orangnya!

Banyak yang bertanya-tanya, siapa sih pengganti the rev? ada juga yang malah ngasih pendapat kalau mendingan Avenged Sevenfold dibubarin aja, coz The Rev adalah Drummer dengan skill yang tak diragukan lagi. Ditambah lagi dengan karakter vokal backing nya di A7X yang sangat khas serta penampilan garang dan meranik simpati para fans A7X. Namun seperti yang kita ketahui, James Owen Sullivan nama asli The Rev tersebut telah tiada 28 Desember 2009 lalu dan menyisakan kesedihan buat para personel Avenged Sevenfold, keluarga, kerabat, fans, dll.

Mengenai posisi drummer, The Rev tak bisa tergantikan. Tapi semua pihak harus realistis dan menerima keaadan. Avenged Sevenfold must survive, pengganti posisi drum harus ada baik untuk additional player ataupun drummer tetap. Untuk memilih pengganti The Rev pun mereka tak sembarangan memilih pemain drum. Cobus hanya objek pendapat banyak orang saja, sebenarnya dia tidak terlalu diperhatikan oleh A7X. Pihak AvengedSevenfold sendiri lebih memilih untuk pemain drum yang punya kelas dan punya keterikatan / associated acts dengan mereka, antara lain Bullet For My Valentine, Good Charlote, BuckCherry, Dream Theater, Atreyu, Bleeding Through, dkk. Dan Akhirnya A7X memutuskan untuk menggaet pemain drum dari Dream Theater, yaitu Mike Portnoy. Informasi tersebut saya dapatkan dari kerrang.com. Lebih detilnya mengenai kontrak sementara / tetap dan masalah lain-lainya saya ga tahu jelas, lha wong saya saja sendiri kurang ngerti bahasa inggris! Saya sendiri belum bisa membayangkan akan seperti apa album baru yang "setengahnya" diselesaikan bersama Mike Portnoy. Coba saja bayangkan, Avenged Sevenfol sendiri adalah band Metalcore, sedangkan Portnoy bersama Dream Theater yang mempunyai genre progresif metal. Apakah Avenged Sevenfold akan menyesuaikan dengan ngedrum ala Mike atau Mike yang akan beradaptasi dengan A7X. Namun kayaknya tuh ga masalah deh, tetep sama-sama metal... hidup METAL!!!!!!!!!!!! haha.

CALIFORNIA, KOMPAS.com — Kabar duka menghampiri grup band Avenged Sevenfold setelah penggebuk drumnya, James Owen Sullivan a.k.a "The Rev", meninggal dunia di usia 28 tahun pada Senin (28/12/2009) waktu setempat.



John Domingo, petugas kepolisian Huntington Beach mengatakan, The Rev meninggal di kediamannya di kawasan California selatan.

Sejauh ini, polisi belum menemukan hal-hal yang tak wajar atas penyebab kematiannya. Meski demikian, pihak terkait masih meneliti penyebab kematian The Rev secara pasti.

Kepergiannya yang tiba-tiba jelas membuat sejumlah rekan dan penggemar terkejut. Pihak manajemen grup band Avenged Sevenfold mengumumkan kabar tersebut melalui situs mereka. "Ini kabar yang sangat menyedihkan dan berat untuk disampaikan bahwa hari ini Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan telah tiada," tulis manajemen Avenged Sevenfold dalam pernyataan resminya.

"Jimmy tak hanya merupakan salah satu penggebuk drum terbaik di dunia. Lebih dari itu, dia adalah sahabat dan saudara terbaik," tulisnya lagi.

Semasa kariernya bersama Avenged Sevenfold, "The Rev" pernah memberi kontribusi dalam penggarapan single "A Little Piece of Heaven." Selain menjadi pemain drum, ia juga penyanyi latar di grup bentukan tahun 1999 itu. Bahkan, pria yang dikenal badung selama remaja itu sempat menjadi penyanyi utama pada grup musik Pinkly Smooth.

Lahir pada tanggal 9 Februari 1981 sebagai anak tunggal, dia terkenal sebagai bocah nakal sehingga sering dikeluarkan dari sekolah. Kelakuannya saat remaja makin tak terkendali. The Rev sudah tujuh kali masuk penjara karena doyan berkelahi dan doyan mabuk-mabukan.

Namanya kemudian makin dikenal ketika ia bergabung dengan Avenged Sevenfold dan berhasil menuai sukses. Pada ajang MTV Video Music Awards 2006, grup ini berhasil meraih penghargaan untuk Best New Artist.

Di Tanah Air, grup ini punya banyak penggemar. Buktinya, sudah dua kali mereka manggung di Jakarta. Pada Oktober tahun lalu, Avenged Sevenfold tampil di Jakarta. The Rev turut serta dalam konser yang dihajat promotor Java Musikindo itu. (msnbc.com/EH)

Yup, Vokalis Avenged Sevenfold dikenal dengan M. Shadows. Sedangkan nama asli dari M. Shadow ini adalah Matthew Charles Sanders tahun kelahiran 1981.

Matthew Charles Sanders, (born July 31,1981) better known by his stage name M. Shadows, is currently the vocalist for the American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold.

In his youth, Shadows was notorious for his disorderly conduct and misbehavior. He was quoted as saying "I was in between a good kid and a terrible kid - I had a good heart, but a terrible attitude." He attended Huntington Beach High School after being expelled from his middle school in the eighth grade. As the band was just starting out, he was the darker character of the group (hence the name "Shadows") but he also wanted to incorporate his name, Matt, into his stage name. Matt was reduced to "M" because it had a better ring when combined with his stage name and ever since he has been known as M. Shadows. (wikipedia)

Tahun 2009 ini kayaknya A7X belum ada kegiatan, tapi si M. Shadow sendiri udah jalan-jalan sama teman-temanya. Maksudnya gini, dia tak hanya nyanyi dalam band Avenged 7fold aja namun duet bersama musisi lain yaitu Slash, Steel Panther dll.

Mungkin rasanya berlebihan jika Avenged Sevenfold adalah salah satu band paling digemari sedunia saat ini ( Most Favorite Rock Band ) tak terkecuali di Indonesia, tapi itu nyata. Jika Anda kurang tahu beritanya, ya maklum saja jarang sekali ada acara mengenai musik barat di TV manapun di Indonesia, betul ga........?

Untuk itu info tentang band Avenged Sevenfold yang sebelumnya pernah dibuat di Info A7X dan telah di revisi lebih Update dan komplit dengan berbagai info disertai full download free ( gratis ) dari album yang pertama sampai yang terbaru sampai saat ini. Oke lah.... dari pada kebanyakan ngoceh sana sini, lebih baik langsung saja tak kasih informasinya.

Avenged Sevenfold, dalam bahasa indonesia artinya pembalasan dendam tujuh kali lipat, kenapa begitu???

Kalau ga tau, sama... saya juga ga tau, ihiks. Tapi yang pasti Avenged Sevenfold keren banget, mulai dari penampilan personelnya yang garang, gede, tatoan, kayak preman pasar, eh bukan pasar, mall aja, hidupnya kan dikota?! Selain itu mereka punya genre yang banyak, mulai dari rock, hardcore, metal, bahkan sampai membuat versi alternatif yang ada di album terahir mereka Diamond in The Rough di tahun 2008, tak lupa juga meraka membuat lagu yang terbilang kalem, seperti Warmness on the Soul, I won't see you toningh, Dear God, dan yang single pertama di album terbaru Untill The End.

Nha, mengenai salah satu lagu tersebut yaitu Dear God, ada sebagian penggemar yang menyayangkan kalau kenapa ya Avenged Sevenfold kok membuat lagu kalem begitu, padahal mereka punya genre yang metalcore abiz... tapi yang terjadi malah sebaliknya, lagu tersebut malah membuat nama mereka menjadi lebih terkenal di dunia, termasuk indonesia, benar kan? Mulai dari penikmat musik seperti musik rock, alternatif, pop, cowo atau cewe, bahkan orang yang tidak sengaja dengerin lagu ini, kebanyakan banyak yang suka. Ibarat peribahasa "mati satu tumbuh seribu", kini penggemar band tersebut banyak sekali.

Tapi memang benar lagu ini sangat enak dinikmati dan menyentuh sekali, apa lagi kalu di puter saat pikiran lelah, senang, sedih, atau apapun itu. Saat lagu ini lagi booming banyak sekali radio-radio di indonesia yang muterin lagi ini, bahkan sempat menjadi top request selama berminggu-minggu. Dan sedikit cerita yang saya alami, pada suatu hari ada seorang anak yang minta lagu ini ke saya ( Master Oos ), "mas, njaluk lagune apeng... apenjet sepenpol, pokoke kuwi lah, enyong ra paham bener tapi nyong ngerti judule, deer got!" kata anak kacil tadi, trus saya menjawab "ooo...walah, kuwi lagune Avenged Sevenfold, judule Dear God, ngerti seko ndi kowe?", "seko radio to mas! hehehe.... nak nang tp hura ono sing nyetelake, bajindul *$%#*" nah lo.... anak kecil aja tau, halah.

Banyak pengamat musik yang berpendapat bahwa Vokalis A7X M. Shadows adalah salah satu penyebab bergantinya aliran metalcore menjadi sedikit pop-rock. Penilaian tersebut didasarkan setelah ia mengalami patah pada tenggorokanya yang menyebabkan pita suaranya terganggu sehingga ia menjalani operasi. Namum Vokalis yang bernama asli Matt Sanders menolak dengan tegas pendapat orang-orang tadi, kemuadian ia berkata "Semua lagu yang kami ciptakan adalah rencana sejak awal berdirinya band kami, saya terinspirasi oleh Guns n' Roses. Jadi mengenai operasi yang sempat hampir menghilangkan suaraku itu adalah bukan alasan yang tepat!" tegasnya.

Avenged Sevenfold (juga dikenal sebagai A7X), adalah band beraliran rock yang berasal dari Huntington Beach, California.

Biografi
Terbentuknya Avenged Sevenfold
Avenged Sevenfold terbentuk pada tahun 1999 di Orange County, California. Band tersebut pertama kali dibangun oleh M Shadows dan Zacky Vengeance dan diikuti oleh The Rev. dan Matt Wendt. Kemudian diikuti oleh Synyter gates dan Johny Christ yang bersaing dengan Justin Sane. Dan akhirnya 2 orang ( Matt Wendt dan Justin Sane ) keluar sebagai anggota disihkan oleh Johny Crist. Album pertama mereka, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet direkam ketika mereka masih berumur 18 tahun. Album ini dirilis dengan label Good Life Recordings, tetapi setelah gitaris Synyster Gates masuk Avenged Sevenfold, album ini dirilis ulang dengan label Hopeless Records. Lagu "To End The Rapture" juga direkam ulang, kali ini ditambahkan dengan permainan gitar Synyster Gates.

Tahun 2005, Amerika Serikat tengah jenuh dengan musik hip-hop dan pop yang merajalela, lalu Avenged Sevenfold merilis album mereka City of Evil tepatnya pada tanggal 8 Juni, 2005. Hits single Bat Country merupakan lagu metal/rock pertama yang merajai MTV TRL. Mereka mempopulerkan kembali solo gitar dengan duet gitaris Synyster Gates dan Zacky Vengeance yang benar-benar memanaskan area moshpit. Album tersebut mendapat sertifikat gold dan memenangkan predikat Best New Artist in a Video di MTV VMA 2006 untuk lagu Bat Country.

Tahun 2007, mereka kembali masuk studio untuk merekam lagu terbaru mereka untuk studio album ke-5 mereka. Awal Agustus 2007, mereka menjalani tur Asia Pasifik mereka, dan sempat mampir di Indonesia dan memainkan lagu mereka pertama kali di depan publik. Lagu yang berjudul Almost Easy tersebut mendapat sambutan hangat dari penggemar di seluruh dunia. Ketika itu band punk Jogjakarta Endang Soekamti didaulat menjadi band pembuka.

Tahun 2008, mereka berpartisipasi sebagai headliners di tour Taste of Chaos bersama dengan Bullet for My Valentine, Atreyu, Blessthefall dan Idiot Pilot. Ketika tour, mereka merekam sebuah DVD yang mengandung 6 lagu baru mereka.

Dalam tournya, Avenged Sevenfold juga sudah manggung untuk yang kedua kalinya di Indonesia Oktober 2008 lalu masih dengan event organizer yang sama yakni Java Musikindo seperti 1 tahun sebelumnya.

Dan di awal tahun 2009, mereka menggelar konser bersama tiga grup band ternama antara lain Buckberry, Papa Roach, dan Saving Abel.

Ciri khas
Mereka cenderung memainkan nuansa agresif pada vokal, gitar, dan drum (bass tetap statis). Dengan sentuhan yang dinamis, mau keras atau lambat, mereka tetap menggunakan harmonisasi yang luar biasa dan komposisi yang teratur. Sebut saja lagu-lagu yang sedikit melow, seperti Seize The Day dan Dear God, gitarnya tetap di drop Dm seperti halnya metal-metal kebanyakan. Kemudian, ciri khasnya selain komposisi dan drop, Syn memasukkan nuansa sweep picking (arpeggio) di hampir semua lagunya. Keindahan sweep picking yang dipadukan dengan kromatik, slide, dan teknik-teknik lainnya bisa kita dengar di lagu The Wicked End. Kemudian selain itu, tidak lupa juga sentuhan akustik yang membawa suasana seperti di Hawaii, bisa kita dengar di lagu Sidewinder. Tapi, satu lagi ciri khas yang tidak pernah lepas dari mereka, menduetkan gitar Syn dan Zacky, memakai double bass dengan tempo yang beberapa kali lipat beat-nya dari biasanya.

Genre
Secara umum, Avenged Sevenfold diklasifikasikan sebagai band penting dan berpengaruh dalam era New Wave of American Heavy Metal (NWOAHM) . Merekai mempunyai banyak genre , termasuk sebagai genre crossover, yaitu sering meninggalkan konsep genre sekaligus (terutama dalam album mereka yang paling baru). Sebagai contoh, Avenged Sevenfold's debut Sounding of Seventh Trumpet yang terdiri dari hampir seluruhnya Metalcore, namun terdiri dari beberapa penyimpangan yang ada di genre ini, terutama dalam "Streets" yang menggunakan gaya punk, dan "Warmness on the Soul," yang diiringi dengan piano, dan dapat dianggap soft rock. Pada Waking The Fallen, band ditampilkan jauh lebih halus dan fasih. Di City of Evil, band ini telah memilih untuk meninggalkan genre Metalcore, berkembang yang lebih punk metal / pemaduan gaya, yang tidak beda jauh dengan band seperti Bullet for My Valentine dan Trivium. Selain itu, permainan drum di album baru cenderung lebih alternatif-metal yang dipengaruhi gaya, mirip dengan Slipknot. Ceritanya Begini : saat saya browsing / cari video A7X yang baru di youtube.com ( dari Album Diamond in The Rough 2008 ) saya cari-cari ga ada, tapi ga lama kemudian saya nemuin lagu yang baru Judulnya Dancing Dead. Tapi Kok Vokalnya ( M.Shadows ) agak beda terlihat dari jauh, ketika didekatin, ternyata..... emang beda. Eeee yang mainin jebulane "anak buahnya" M. Shadows : Jack2Matt ( si Jack ini Penggemar berat Apenged sepenpol terutama Matt Sanders/M. Shadows ) yang membuat video cover a7x dan diakui oleh A7X dan WarnerBross. Tuh musiknya asli tapi hanya video nya saja yang dibuat secara gokil. Bajakan... Tiruan.. Imitasi... Gitu deh pokoknya, karena mungkin saking terobsesinya tuk jadi personel A7X.

Nah, tak kasih tau... nih gambar hasil susah payah yang saya dapetin, pertama-tama I said thaks to justjoez, yang mana dari pada dimana sedemikian rupa sehingga saya dapet menyelenggaraken blog ini, hehe.. ngomonge kayak mantan presiden wae. Justjoez juga satu-satunya orang yang ga percaya klo saya nonton langsung di Jakarta, dia yang udah typing di shoutmix "OOS tukan ngibu......... ga usah peracaya dach........... dy blm prnh liat A 7 X aslinal" dan tuh... liat aja di shoutmix, nambah lagi kan!?! Ga papa saya maklumin, mungkin karena dia ga nonton sebab ga dapet tiket masuk di Tennis Indoor Senayan, trus jadi gitu deh... iri ceritanya...ihiks. Speed Metal ala A7X

Speed Metal, bagi sebagian orang mungkin itu musik yang cenderung katro, gak musim lagi.
Akankah salah satu aliran dari musik rock yang sempat tenggelam itu diramalkan bakal mencuat dan kembali menjadi trend.
Di indonesia speed metal memang telah lama tidak terdengar gaungnya karena terkubur oleh band-band baru yang lebih banyak memainkan pop rock. Kini tren musik kita yang banyak bertema cinta dan malah cenderung minim permainan skill lebih diterima masyarakat. Suguhkan solo/lead guitar dianggap sudah tak laku lagi. Contoh band lokal seperti Power Metal, mereka tidak lagi dapat mudah diterima. Selain memang sudah dimakan usia, banyak orang menganggap tren mereka sudah habis. Padahal dulu mereka termasuk barometer untuk musik rock indonesia. Paling tidak lagu-lagu mereka dibawakan pada festival-festival band diberbagai tingkatan.
Lahirnya band-band macam A7X, Dragonfly atau DragonForce etc. seolah membangkitkan kembali semangat yang pernah diusung band2 tempo doeloe macam Judaspriest atau Helloween.
A7X alias Avenged Sevenfold adalah salah satu dari band baru yang mengusung tema speed metal. Old School Metal yang mereka usung dikemas secara modern. Musik mereka kini mulai diterima oleh pencinta musik rock. Kepopuleran mereka pun disejajarkan dengan My Chemical Romance.
Band yang terbentuk di California ini mendapat dukungan yang tinggi dari majalah Rolling Stones setelah mereka merilis Walking The Fallen dengan hits Mainstream dan Unholy Confussions.
Duet gitaris mereka Synyster Gates dan Zacky Vengeance kini menjadi perbincangan dikalangan para gitaris dunia termasuk Indonesia. Permainan mereka yang neoclassical speed metal/shred mengingatkan duet Cacophony, Marty Friedman and Jason Becker.
Point plus yang membuat mereka mudah diterima masyarakat adalah dandanan mereka yang sesuai dengan trend saat ini. Mereka tampil tidak dengan kostum ketat warna-warni dengan motif kulit hewan dan asesoris yang berlebihan layaknya band-band era tahun 80an.
Band yang ogah disebut emo atau screamo ini berada dibawah naungan Hopeless Records. Pada awal Agustus 2007 singgah di Indonesia dalam rangka tour Asia Pasifik. Kedatangan mereka disambut baik. Paling tidak dapat mengobati rindu para pecinta speed metal di Indonesia.
Semoga band seperti A7X ini dapat mengangkat kembali trend speed metal dan akan ada band-band baru di negeri ini yang akan mengikuti jejak mereka. Dan yang paling penting adalah musik mereka dapat diterima masyarakat dengan baik. Tanpa ada label katro, udik dan kampungan. Semoga…
